Butterfly Day ~ Beautiful!

On the last day of school, Friday June 28, we began a new tradition at St Brigid’s ~ BUTTERFLY DAY. Butterfly Day is a day for honouring those people we love but who are now with God, in particular we honoured beautiful Molly Lord.

Children wore a remembering ribbon in a colour that reminded them of the person they were honouring.

The day started with a liturgy at 9am in the hall with Fr Ron and,as it was too cold for live butterflies, balloons were released to honour our loved ones. Photos of lost of loved ones formed a lovely powerpoint and there was a wonderful sense of community.
It was a beautiful way to share in honouring those who have gone to heaven in the arms of the angels.
